Nearly every fans of Halloween and the second Halloween film never saw "Halloween III: Season of the Witch", which was released in 1982. The cause for this is since Michael Myers did not appear in this picture, unlike in prior ones.

John Carpenter hoped Halloween III would launch a franchise. Every Halloween, a new film might be published, presenting a different narrative. It was a terrific idea, and I wish they would have expanded on it. It didn't work.

As Halloween approaches, Dr. Daniel Challis (Tom Atkins) finds himself embroiled in a peculiar case when an elderly patient, carrying a mask, is found dead.

Dr. Challis visits Santa Mira with Ellie. Silver Shamrock, maker of the popular Halloween mask, is located here. The brand has a catchy song and has sold millions of masks in the U.S.

(It's a well-known fact that the Silver Shamrock plant was located in a dairy processing facility.)

Thousands, possibly millions of innocent people will die if Conal Cochran (Dan O'Herlihy), CEO of Silver Shamrock, succeeds in his scheme. In addition, they're encouraging young people to listen into a Halloween-themed show while dressed in costume. They discover that Conal Cochran, the CEO of Silver Shamrock, is planning something as they dive more into their investigation.

Halloween III is a fun film, despite having no connection to Myers, Loomis, Laurie, or Haddonfield, IL. No one else is in Halloween 3, except for a few scenes in which the first film's opening credits are playing.

It's not perfect, but there are a few remarkable parts throughout the film. Despite this, it's still a worthwhile watch. Buddy Kupfer is a more information salesperson who has sold enough masks to obtain a premium tour of the facility, so Cochran tries his nefarious scheme on his family.

Little Buddy, Buddy's son (Brad Schacter) puts on a Silver Shamrock mask and watches the tv show that will air on Halloween night. Needless to say, things get out of hand. The carnage that results will leave you not soon forgetting it. Conal Cochran also discusses the actual history of Halloween and tells the true origin of the holiday.

I've come to like the Halloween franchise, particularly the films that followed Halloween 3, all of which starred Michael Myers. However, I can't help but wonder whether John Carpenter and Debra Hill got the opportunity to finish their original series idea.

There isn't much to blame viewers for their disinterest in Halloween III. The person who chose to include the number "3" in this film is to blame.

Although everything is now finished, the fact that I admired Carpenter and Hill's Halloween 3: Season of the Witch makes their extreme collapse's extreme miscalulation all the more sad.

Tom Lee Wallace directed.

Dan O'Herlihy, Tom Atkins, and Stacey Nelkin feature in this film.
